Reading and writing before knowing how to read and write
Research shows that children think about writing from a very early age. Curious, they ask questions and are interested in all that society values. During this process, they make real hypotheses to understand what written marks represent and how they organize.
Designing teaching proposals that enable children to display and expand these ideas allows them to advance in their literacy process and become competent users of reading and writing -and not just subjects who can decipher the writing system- (Lerner, 1999).

I provide consulting services in Spanish or English to professionals and different types of institutions that work with childhood - kitas, kindergartens, schools, parents or community associations, among others - on teaching reading and writing from a communicative approach and according to the moments that children go through in their learning process.
